This is the way she arrived home

The rest of the parts

Number four cylinder dropped an exhaust valve.

The engine had to come out. Godfrey helped.

We don't need no stinkin engine

Forenzic Mechanics.

Exhaust valve sticks open. Piston hits and brakes valve. Next time up piston hits valve and brakes piston and head.

The piston was badly damaged. The connecting rod got it to.

Surprisingly the cylinder walls were not damaged.

New engine arrives from Washinton State.

Replaced timing belts while the engine was out.

I thought the engine was here earlier?

After the new engine was installed

The fork seals needed to be replaced

The finale drive was removed inspected and painted.

While the rear tire was off the gas tank was removed and the rust cleaned out with muratic acid.

No front tire. Handle bars not bolted on.

Thats ok take her for a ride anyway.

Oh what a tangled web we weave.

If you are going to remove electrical things take a picture of the wiring first. Then its much easier to connect it back up later

Take your stock manifold.

Weld on a properly bent pipe.

Then mount your Harley muffler

Make sure you weld the old Honda muffler mount on first.

Looks better than it ever did on a Harley.

Is it done yet?

I want to go for a ride.

Time to do some body work.

Lots of sanding and paint removal.

A couple of coats of primer.

Put a tiger in your tank, or at least a cat.

Murphy wants to help.

After much discussion a color was decided on.

House of color metalic gold.

After the color coat many coats of clear.

The final assembly begins.

She's all ready for the first ride.

A successfull first ride.
